aquirosa processing Debussy “Reflets dans l'eau”

aquirosa reorders the frequencies of sound in realtime the nature of spectral transforms opens a wide terrain of sonic possibilities. the stretching, rearranging or deconstruction of frequency content of a sound allows it to morph into a vast array of unheard of timbres and tonal qualities.

next to a pure manipulation of frequencies, you can attract them towards harmony with a large library of supported tunings, enabling a new way of exploring harmonic systems and musical tradition. common western equal temperament tuning is supported (C Major, etc) but aquirosa looks to escape the western hegemony of harmony, offering a rich toolset to explore a pluriversal approach to musical tuning with 100+ tunings, covering legacies from around the world and experimental traditions. featuring further support for importing or creation of new tuning systems, aquirosa invites you to explore new tuning and even resynthesize full pieces of music in any tuning system like never before

next to the curve-based remapping of frequencies, aquirosa has further processes for life-like dynamic movement in the curve, separate processing of tonal and noise content, continuous dynamics reshaping between transients and sustain, and energetic control of brightness, darkness and fullness. aquirosa easily sets off into emergent territory, moving between chaotic and structured states in a new and surprising way. want to read more?
